Stolen from [profile] magie_05 . Mwahaha.

10. Ghostbusters--The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. The look on Dan Aykroyd's face when he says, "I tried to think of something that could never ever hurt us" coupled with the image of a hundred foot tall angry marshmallow destroying New York City is ten degrees of perfect. My brother can also do a spot on impression of said marshmallow man, because he has no life.

9. Audition--The Burlap Sack.
The fucked-upness of this movie is, um, surprising? There's a scene right after this nice Japanese girl auditions for a part where it cuts to her waiting for a phone call. She's presumably been there for quite a while, and it's just...ugh...so creepy. The camera focuses on a burlap sack by her feet for at least 30 seconds, and right when you think there's nothing in it, it moves.

8. Edward Scissorhands--Hold Me.
The awful thing about this movie is that it's billed as a comedy, but there's a point about 3/4ths into the movie where it gets dark and things just never go back to being okay. Maybe not the best scene on this list, but The Hug Heard Around the World is guaranteed to get me crying.

7. Shawshank Redemption--Brooks Was Here.
Another tearjerker. I picked this because I think it offered the general public insight into the prison life mentality that had never been portrayed on film before (or if it had, I doubt it was as incredibly moving). But when Brooks refers to Shawshank as "home" and writes, "I don't like it here. I'm tired of being afraid all the time, so I've decided not to stay" everyone immediately gets it, and for that to be accomplished with such little fuss just amazes me.

6. The Libertine--Do You Like Me Now?
Not everyone's favorite movie, I realize, but it gets to me in sort of a...competitive way? In his opening monologue, Wilmot calmly explains that you will not like him. In fact, you will hate him. And while watching I thought, "Okay, that's cool. Good to know." But then the movie goes on, and you start to sort of like him more as he likes himself less and it's actually nerve-racking as an audience member. You assume you're doing something wrong. Then he dies and we're back to the monologue, where he asks, "Do you like me now?" Shit, John Wilmot, I do. Damn you.

5. Resevoir Dogs--Stuck in the Middle with You.
The ear scene. Nuff said. I think the worse part is that you don't see it.

4. The Fountain--Shibalba.
The last scene, where Tom, Tommy, and Thomas all make it to where they're going is probably the most beautiful thing I've seen on film.

3. Pan's Labyrinth--A Princess
Another absolutely gorgeous scene, which is, at the same time, terrifying. The clash of real world horror with fairy tale is as sick as it is enlightening.

2. Seven--What's in the Box?
Oh God, the last ten minutes of this movie are just genius. The dialogue is so tight you feel the need to yell "Oh snap" after every verbal exchange. The twist is awful and brilliant. John Doe is relatable, and worse, the audience has been on his sick ride for the entire film and by this point, there's this part of you that wants him to succeed. And of course, Morgan Freeman's thoughts on the Hemingway quote at the end put the nail in the coffin of anything good. Afterwards, you want to take a bath. Pure genius.

1. The Usual Suspects--The Real Keyser Soze.
I'm obviously biased, as this is my favorite movie...but yeah, the ending is a hard bitch slap across the face. I even jokingly predicted the ending when I first saw it, but still. OMG.

Gotta get to bed now. School tomorrow. *Pukes.*

One of my all-time favorite moments, still, is that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark when Indy -- faced with yet another scimitar-wielding Bad Guy -- stops fighting, rolls his eyes, pulls out a gun and shoots him.

Alright, don't get mad at me if I get these horribly wrong, but I'm going to guess Ghostbusters, Shawshank Redemption, Edward Scissorhands, and Pan's Labyrinth. *cowers in fear*

Well you got two right.
My all time favorites, which I recommend to everyone, are Reservoir Dogs, The Usual Suspects, Shawshank Redemption and Pan's Labyrinth. The first two have been at the top of the list since they came out! I think I might rewatch them for the gazillionith time this weekend.
