Every day was a blatant redundancy.

Every day was a rerun of a boring sitcom. Every day was a monologue he knew too well. Every day was a commercial he’d already fucking seen.

Every day was one more quarter lost to the depths of the vending machine. Every day was the forgotten pizza crust in the back seat of the car. Every day was the sock that slipped off his ankle when he walked.

Every day was one stolen lunch short of annoyance. Every day was one pill short of anger. Every day was one phone call short of insanity. Every day was one scowl away from being…him.

Every day was a blatant redundancy.

So Wilson went home, sat on the couch, and watched a commercial he hadn’t seen.

It’s the one where House calls for help, and Wilson doesn’t answer.

i love this... even though wilson's being a terrible friend, you have to somewhat sympathize with him, too.. i've been there, at that place where you know someone you care about can't/won't help themselves.. you know if you *don't* go to them they're gonna be hurt... but you're so tired of running every time, of picking up the deliberately broken pieces...

yeah, ranting now, so will stop :P hehehe... but yeah, i relate to this wilson :P you've described this situation perfectly, hon :) *hugs*

I can see this happening...well, it sort of has happened.

Everyone has their breaking point and House seems to have found Wilson's.

But the next time House calls for help and Wilson doesn't answer, that will be a redundancy too. I hope Wilson can find some balance between taking care of House and taking care of himself.
