Er ... I don't mean to be all YOU DAMN KIDS GIT OFFA MAH LAWN or anything, but what's the big deal about this girl? I seriously don't know a thing about her, and her character so far seems like Mary Sue from Hell. Not to say I won't give her a chance, but at the moment I'm kind of going, Girl geenyus early-grad with zomg!morals and endearing!idealism comes and challenges House? Are we taking stories from fanfic now, Shore?

Yeah, I'm not digging her character either really. But Amber Tamblyn is an actress I grew up with. She was in Joan of Arcadia, which was my favorite show growing up, and she's a hell of an actor. Also, she's very...cool? I don't know, but she advocates female actors not just being arm candy and not being a size 2, etc. She's incredibly funny in interviews, and a big part of why I'm such a fan, is she's an incredible writer. She's done two slam tours and has a book out, and she brings a completely different perspective to the world of slam poetry.

Basically, I have a girl crush.

I haven't been watching House lately (need to catch up after my exams -- I obviously don't mind being spoiled), but seriously? Sounds very... bad fanfic.

As long as she doesn't have limpid green eyes and flowing black hair, I suppose. Or the other hallmark of Mary Sue-dom, the overly dramatic and angst-ridden prior history.

Amber and I go back to her Emily Quartermaine days on GH, and since I'm a hard-core AJ fan, I never quite forgave her for siding with the mini-mobster against AJ when the whole Carly/Jason/Sonny mess broke out.

Actually to me, the headline for that episode was OMG-NOAH BENNET is on HOUSE MD!!!
